Safety & trust

A treatment at home should feel completely safe.

We only claim what we can show. Below is exactly what SHAI checks, what we record and what to do if something isn't right.

Therapist verification

Every therapist applies to SHAI. We review their identity document and profile before they can appear in the marketplace. Badges are only shown once a check is complete.

Qualification checks

Therapists submit their certificates and qualifications. Our team reviews them, and the 'Qualifications verified' badge only appears afterwards.

Ratings and reviews

Only a completed booking can leave a review. Ratings are calculated from real treatments, never edited by therapists.

Booking records

Every booking is recorded with the treatment, therapist, time, place and status history — for both you and your therapist.

Secure payment

Card details are never stored by SHAI. During our launch period treatments are not charged in-app; when payments switch on they run through a licensed South African payment provider.

Report a therapist or client

You can raise a dispute from any booking. It goes straight to the SHAI team, who will contact both sides.

Support

Something feels wrong before, during or after a treatment? Contact support from your profile and we'll respond.

Emergency

SHAI is not an emergency service. In an emergency in South Africa call 10111 (police) or 10177 (ambulance) immediately.
